Credentials
Dr. Hakim completed his postgraduate training in Orthodontics at the University of Colorado, USA in 2006 after earning his DMD from the University of Pittsburgh, USA in 2002. He also holds an MS in Human Genetics from the University of Pittsburgh, BDS from Benghazi University,and an MSD from the University of Colorado. Dr. Hakim is a certied Diplomate in the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO).
He served on the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh and more recently was Assistant Professor of Orthodontics and Clinic Director at the European University College, Dubai.
Dr. Hakim is a quality orientated clinician who treats all patient age groups and all types of malocclusions. He is passionate about providing his patients the best results in the manner suited for them. He is published in the prestigious Journal of Dental Research as well as the American Journal of Orthodontics and has been invited as a guest speaker to several international meetings.
Dr. Hakim is a UAE Ambassador for the American Association of Orthodontists. He is licensed to practice orthodontics in the USA and the UAE.
Dr. Hakim enjoys his family, jogging and keeping abreast of all the latest innovations in orthodontics.
